Vox Juris, Latin for “the voice of law,” is an academic journal housed under Trinity Women in Politics and Law (TWPL) at the University of Toronto. Founded with a mission to amplify women’s voices in the fields of law and politics, Vox Juris provides a dedicated platform for thoughtful, rigorous, and diverse academic discourse. Through bi-monthly publications, the journal showcases original work from both in-house writers and external contributors, creating an inclusive space where emerging and established voices alike can engage critically with pressing legal and political issues. At Vox Juris, we believe that scholarship is stronger when it reflects the full spectrum of perspectives, and we are committed to making sure those perspectives are heard.
Vox Juris accepts academic submissions every two months, reviewed for quality, alignment with the edition’s theme, and the Journal’s mission. Submissions must be original, research-based, and academic in tone, opinion pieces or politically biased content will not be accepted. All work must follow ethical research practices, including proper APA citation. Accepted pieces are subject to editorial review, and authors must engage in the revision process. Submissions should follow formatting guidelines (typed, double-spaced, in Word or Google Doc format) and meet word count requirements. Deadlines must be met unless an extension is granted in advance. While Vox Juris centers women’s voices, submissions are welcome from all members of the University of Toronto community.
